We are musician-entertainers with a minimum of 20 years professional experience specializing in Jazz and Variety music.
RML Jazz features a female vocalist backed by a highly versatile rhythm section consisting of keyboard, guitar, and drums. A horn section can be added, if needed.
Rick Laus, leader and founder of RML Jazz, has been performing professionally since 1968, and is owner of Rick Laus Drums and Percussion. He has performed with many area bands, including Matt Ferrante and Modern Times, Bob Riddle’s Kings of Swing, Bombay Blue Sapphire Band, Orchestra’ Tropical, Algo Latino, Pittsburgh Simcha Orchestra, Hot Matzohs, Val Clark, John McDonald And The Mango Men, Dr. Kwasi And The Islanders, Glen Quarrie Quartet, and Pirate Bucco Band. Rick has performed at many local venues, including Rhythm House, Fresco’s, Paparazzi’s, Three Rivers Stadium, PNC Park, Atria’s, Dowe’s On Ninth, Star Lake, I.C. Light Amphitheatre, Kelly-Strayhorn Theatre, and many area country clubs. Rick is also a percussion instructor at Mt. Lebanon and Chartiers Valley High Schools, as well as director of the Mt. Lebanon African Percussion Ensemble.
